Firefighters play a significant role in saving lives, not only for humans, but animals as well.

This was portrayed by the act of Bagan Jermal Fire and Rescue Department yesterday, who managed to rescue 15 cats from being trapped in a fire involving an apartment unit at Puncak Erskine, Tanjung Bungah.

The fire was believed to start at 11.50 am and caused damage up to 30 percent. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
