People’s Housing Projects (PPR) will be rebranded to Malaysian Homes
19 February, JOHOR BAHRU: The people’s housing project (PPR) will be rebranded to Malaysian Homes measuring not less than 900 square feet with complete basic amenities.
Datuk Hajah Zuraida Kamaruddin, Minister of KPKT thanked the Johor State Government today for their support and willingness to finance the rental and purchase of PPR housing units in Taman Perling, Johor Bahru which will helps and benefits Asnaf and the lower income group own their own houses and affordable.
Datuk Zuraida also pointed out, to avoid idle houses units, KPKT suggested household filling within three months after approval. Two years are given to those eligible to occupy the Malaysian Home Houses complete the bank’s loan, but KPKT still provides an additional one year flexibility for those troubled. Rental price will also be adjusted around RM200 to RM250 per month including maintainance costs.
Datuk Zuraida hopes that this Malaysian Homes Projects can be started by March and benefits more than 4120 families. The KPKT Minister also pointed out and indicate more that more Malaysian Houses will be built in the future to help the B40 people achieve their dreams to own their very own houses. _PPI
