Zuraida & firefighters personnel received vaccine injection

5 March, PUTRAJAYA: A total of 1358 Officers and Fighfighters Personnel (JPBM) who were directly involved during the Covid 19 operations had received vaccinations since the National Covid 19 immunisation program which begins on 24 February 2021.

Ministers of Housing and Local Government, Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin said they (Fighters) were early recepients of the total 7483 fighfighters who were directly involved in performing frontline assingments (Frontliners) to receive Covid 19 vaccine injection in phase one of the nations largest vaccination program.

The selection of officers receiving the vaccine also involved those at high risk,exposed to Covid 19 infection while carrying out fire assignments, she told reporters after the Minister’s herself received the injection this morning at Putrajaya Precinct 18 Health Clinic.

The Director General of Malaysian Rescue And Fire Dept. Datuk Seri Mohamad Hamdan Wahid and 4 others high fighfighters Officers were also among those vaccinated.

The implimentation of the National Covid 19 Immunisation Program is themed ‘To Protect Themselves, Protect All’ are conducted in 3 phases beginning 24 of February to ensure that at least 80% of the Malaysian adult population received a Covid 19 vaccine by 2022.

Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin ,who will be receiving her second dose on March 26,said she was comfortable and did not experience any side effects after being injected ,also cited that Fighfirefighters will continue to perform sanitation assignments in public places to stem the spread of Covid 19.
