Halimah Praised The Way Zuraida Works: #ActionBeyondPolitics

By Ahmad Roi

On a week ago (19 June 2020) Minister of National Unity, Halimah Mohamed Sidique is full of praise towards Zuraida Kamaruddin, The Minister for Housing And Local Government, during their meeting in Penang.

Halimah emphasis ”Not all Ministers can act like what Zuraida had done because when Ministers changed hands, the initial effords and undertaken by the former Minister will be cancelled or postponed by the new Minister in Office but this does not apply to Zuraida.”

Zuraida Kamaruddin, who is the MP’s for Ampang Parliament and is in her third term as an MP, takes over the Minister’s post from Noh Omar, after the collapsed of the Barisan National Government after the GE14.

Zuraida as a Minister has proved with flying colour that she is more than capably in handling the Tasks handed to her after the fall of Barisan Nasional.

In 2019, under Zuraida Kamaruddin, KPKT had approved and provided 3701 units of PPR houses for the B40 target groups, 4577 units of houses for civil servants and 29,461 houses have been sold through the Home Ownership Campaign.

This has helped more than 35,000 families especially from the B40 group, regardless of their race and religion to have their own (non rental) shelter.

At the end of 2020,almost 29,701 affordable houses (RMM) have been completed, 64.887 is still under construction and 73873 are under planning under the Dasar Perumahan Mampu Milik Negara(DRMM).

Strange as it seems, while other policians are fighting amongst themselves to gain powers and the unrest in the coming election,Zuraida Kamaruddin just continued the hours in helping the ‘Rakyat’.
Congratulations Zuraida!
