News | Health ministry reports 250 new Covid-19 deaths
PETALING JAYA: The health ministry reported 250 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, according to its GitHub database.
Of the total, 49 were classified as brought-in-dead (BID). The death toll now stands at 24,931.
Most of the fatalities were recorded in Selangor with 65 deaths, followed by Sabah (43), Johor (41), Penang (20), Sarawak (16), Kelantan (14), Perak (14), Pahang (9), Kedah (6), Kuala Lumpur (6), Terengganu (6), Negeri Sembilan (4), Melaka (3) and Perlis (3).
There were no deaths reported in Labuan and Putrajaya.
As of midnight, there were 195,837 active cases including 1,055 in intensive care units (ICU), 595 of whom require respiratory assistance.
There were also 16,751 recoveries reported.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 2,166,445. – FMT
